Hi,
Actually, because our graphics are very thick, they naturally want to pull back to their original flat shape. We use ultra-resistant, professional-grade materials with a total thickness of 534 microns (153μ adhesive + 381μ lamination) for maximum protection, which makes the vinyl quite stiff before it is fully bonded.
To make sure you get a perfect, long-lasting fit and prevent the edges from lifting, here are the key steps to follow:
Thoroughly prep the plastics: Even brand-new plastics have a greasy manufacturing film on them. You must clean them—especially the edges—perfectly with a degreaser (like isopropyl alcohol) before starting.
Use heat: During the installation, you must heat the stickers (using a heat gun or hairdryer). This softens the thick material so it can conform to the curves of the bike, and most importantly, it activates the adhesive.
Secure the curves: For the most curved areas, we highly recommend holding the edges down with paper painter's tape (masking tape) for 24 hours after installation. This gives the glue time to fully bond while keeping the thick vinyl in place.
Just so you know, our kits also feature FLO Technology (air-release vinyl), which allows micro-bubbles to escape easily for a smooth application. Once you apply heat and let the glue cure, they will stay firmly locked in place!
Best regards,
